“A Community For Life”
Lakes, parks and elegant residences define the landscape of the City of Maitland in Central Florida. Lying five miles north of Orlando, this small, gracious municipality is tucked away in the heart of the Sunshine State, a hidden gem that has, until recently, only been discovered by a privileged few.
With an area of 5.7 square miles, Maitland, FL isn’t the largest of cities, but it contains as much diversity as a metropolis more than twice its size. A place of natural beauty, numerous extant historic sites and a booming business district, Maitland is a small-town community that enjoys the perks of a big city and none of its headaches. Residents here literally have the best of both worlds – they live in a warm, close-knit town that has all the amenities an urban sophisticate could ever want, from art-house cinemas to excellent medical facilities.
In addition, the city is easily accessible, located as it is along Interstate 4 (I-4) and Maitland Boulevard (State Road 414). Downtown Orlando is only around ten minutes away from Maitland, FL, and also nearby are the cities of Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, Longwood and Casselberry, as well as the town of Eatonville.
Maitland, FL has been steadily growing in recent years and is now home to more than 14,000 people. Despite the presence of a major office park, however, the city remains mainly residential, with just enough metropolitan touches to spice things up.
