Heathrow has its own elementary school, Heathrow Elementary, which has earned an A rating and has also been dubbed a Five-Star School. These recognitions signify that the school is academically excellent as well as having commendable involvement from families, the school itself and the community as a whole.
Older students attend schools in Lake Mary and Sanford, such as Millennium Middle School and Seminole High School. Seminole High students scored at least five percent points above the state average in recent Florida Comprehensive Assessment Tests (FCAT).
